Tailings transportation is a key link in the mining production process. Traditional transportation methods face a series of challenges such as fast wear, high energy consumption, and high maintenance costs. Wear resistance comparison: The wear resistance of our UHMWPE pipes is 7-10 times that of carbon steel pipes, 5-8 times that of stainless steel pipes, and about 10 times that of polyvinyl chloride and ordinary polyethylene pipes. Actual engineering data shows that under the same working conditions, the service life of ordinary 500mm steel pipes is about 1 year, while our plastic-lined ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes can reach more than 3 years, and the cost of use is only 25-30% of that of steel pipes.
Low friction coefficient: The friction coefficient of the inner wall of the pipeline is only 0.09 (0.58 for steel pipe), which greatly reduces the transportation resistance, reduces the load of power equipment, and improves the stability of the system.
Excellent mechanical and chemical properties
Impact strength: The impact strength ranks first among plastics, which is twice that of polycarbonate (PC) and five times that of ABS. It can maintain performance at liquid nitrogen temperature (-196℃).
Corrosion resistance: It has strong resistance to various corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. It is suitable for a wide range of pH values of 2-13, and completely solves the corrosion problem of metal pipes.
Temperature adaptability: It can work for a long time under extreme temperature conditions of -269℃ to +80℃, and is particularly suitable for mine applications in high-cold areas.
Pressure resistance: It adopts a steel-lined composite structure, and the working pressure can reach 6.4MPa, which fully meets the needs of high-pressure transportation.
Long-life design: The composite pipeline has a design life of 25 years, which greatly reduces the replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
Energy saving and consumption reduction: The low friction coefficient can reduce the conveying pressure by 15-30%, or reduce the pipe diameter by 10-20%, which is of great significance for long-distance transportation.
Lightweight design: The weight is only 1/8 of the steel pipe of the same specification, which reduces transportation and installation costs and is particularly suitable for construction in mountainous areas and complex terrains.

Engineering design and technical parameters
Our tailings conveying pipeline system adopts a modular design concept and can provide customized solutions according to the specific needs of different mines. The following are typical engineering design parameters and technical details.
Pipeline specifications and structures
Composite structure: The composite design of "steel pipe + UHMWPE lining" is adopted. The steel pipe provides structural strength and the UHMWPE lining provides wear and corrosion protection. The thickness of the lining can be adjusted according to the degree of wear, and the conventional thickness is 10-20mm.
Pipe diameter range: Provide a full range of specifications from Φ108-Φ800mm, and special needs can be customized. For example, the Yunnan Jinding Zinc Industry Project uses φ377×(10+15)mm composite pipe (lined with 15mm ultra-high pipe) as the main pipeline.
Single section length: standard length is 6 meters/root or 12 meters/root, special length can be customized to reduce on-site welding points.
Connection method: supports flange connection, electric hot melt welding and other methods to ensure connection strength and airtightness.
System design parameters
Conveying capacity: The system design conveying capacity can reach 50-600t/h (dry basis), which can meet the needs of mines of different sizes. For example, the designed conveying scale of a certain project is 149.43~556.85t/h (dry basis), and the annual conveying capacity is 1.1835~4.4103 million tons.
Working pressure: conventional design pressure is 1.75-6.4MPa, and the high-pressure system can adopt multi-stage pump station design.
Conveying distance: The maximum conveying distance of a single-stage pump station can reach 10-15km, and a relay pump station can be used for long-distance transportation.
Pipeline layout: A dual pipeline design with one in use and one in reserve can be adopted to ensure continuous operation of the system. For example, the main pipeline of a certain project uses steel composite pipe lined with UHMWPE, and the spare pipeline uses API-5L X65 steel pipe1.
Selection of supporting equipment
Pumping equipment: It is recommended to use water diaphragm pumps or piston diaphragm pumps. A certain project uses 3 water diaphragm pumps as the main pumps (single flow rate 360m³/h, design pressure 6.4MPa), 2 in parallel operation, and 1 as a spare1.
Control system: Equipped with pressure, flow monitoring and automatic adjustment system to achieve intelligent operation.
Safety protection: Set up safety facilities such as pressure relief devices and accident pools to ensure safe operation of the system.
Special terrain solutions
Mountain crossing: Use high-strength composite pipes with special support systems to adapt to complex terrain. The pipeline line of a certain project of Tongling Nonferrous Metals passes through high mountains and is successfully laid in the mountains.
River crossing: Use jacking technology to cross the river. A certain project successfully used jacking to cross the river.
Road and railway crossing: Use casing protection or jacking technology to ensure that it does not affect the transportation infrastructure.
