500mm PE Pipe & Float Dredging Case Introduction

In dredging projects, 500mm PE pipes are an ideal alternative to traditional steel pipes due to their light weight, corrosion resistance and high flexibility. Project requirements: The expansion of xx Port requires dredging of seabed silt and transporting it to designated reclamation areas, and the pipeline needs to adapt to complex sea conditions.

Solution:

DN500 PE pipe with a wall thickness of 29.7mm, a pressure bearing of 1.0MPa, hot-melt welding connection, and a total length of 3540 meters.

Use Ningbo Baitai's HDPE buoy, with a single piece buoyancy of 550kg, an outer diameter of 900mm, and a length of 1000mm to ensure the buoyancy support of 6-meter steel pipes and 1.5-meter rubber hoses.

The buoy adopts an anti-ultraviolet formula and is filled with high-density polyurethane foam inside. The corrosion resistance life is more than 3 times that of steel buoys.

1.
